Very nice, Bjorn!
Insom, I hope you continue to heal fairly quickly - the break sounds like it's making your life pretty difficult!

Just had septoplasty and turbinate resection on Thursday. Nose still feels stuffy as its swollen but it's breathable. Hopefully this fixes my perpetual sinus infection that antibiotics won't kill - fixing the structural problems!

Oh, I hope you're feeling better quickly, Rayne!
Insom, Kylie is (as always) gorgeous and funny! How's the arm healing?

so, my daughter got married saturday yay. if we're facebook friends, you've seen the photos. if not, well, get with the program (Bjorn, seriously, this is why *I* signed up - to see Rob's photos once... I didn't use it again for 6 months, so it's not as if you can't ignore it completely!)

I can never find anything on FB these days, but congratulations to your daughter! I'll go have a look for photos in a minute!

I'm blocked from accessing facebook at work, and mary won't have it on our home pc (worried about privacy/viruses).
I admit that except for your duaghter's wedding pictures, this troubles me not.

you won't get viruses from just signing up to look at pictures. it's mostly through games that people have trouble, and i KNOW you won't do that sign up with a fake name and you should be completely safe but actually, another non-facebook friend said she saw them without signing up, so if you email me, i'll send you the link (i can never remember your email address)

Just having FB won't get you a virus. Dummy email account, fake name (I'm thinking Bjorn TheViking) and hopefully you'll be just invisible enough to see the pretty photos without being spotted by the nasties.

kaffy, the Christchurch Sweet Adelines chorus came in 11th (this is a great thing because then they get to be mic testers for the 2nd part of competition, and get to perform but have no pressure, 'cause they aren't being judged.) they came a long way!

Hey, that's awesome! I have a cousin who was a member of the Sweet Adelines. She had to give it up last year, sadly, so she missed out on the comps this year. The amount of work is staggering, so I'm glad they placed reasonably well!
Who won?

Kaf, the arm is unslung now, though range of motion is still crappy. I still use a transport chair at school, but not for much longer.
In the weeks just after the accident, I gobbled down pain pills, walked with a cane, was snarky to everyone, and spoke with a believable American accent, And yet fame still eludes me...

kaffy: the winners were the Melodeers (a large chorus from the midwest which wins fairly often) but 2nd place (and audience heart-string favorites) were Ronninge Show Chorus from Sweden. They were awesome and scored pretty well but I guess not quite as well as the Melodeers. People in the chat room were outraged! Check em out on youtube (I assume they have some videos from previous competitions up there).

Okay, severely behind the times here, but seriously, went swimming in Lake Superior, Bjoojie? Can you say...shrinkage? Brr!!!
Actually I'm jealous. Love Superior and want to go back very badly. Dammit.
