Not dead here, but it has been a holiday weekend.
In the upcoming week I'm going to be crazy busy, though, so I can't guarantee anything.

Holiday weekend spent with friends and then grading...my "end of the semester" rush is on, and I'm usually kinda scarce. I'm around, though!

Not dead--just running around taking care of Mom, finding our "new normal." I did get to have her out to the house after Easter services for the first time ever, along with some friends, which was wonderful!

I didn't die, but a certain evil, bearded terrorist did.
The headlines are a bit strange:
Americans gather joyfully to mark bin Laden death
I don't remember the last death that we publicly celebrated . . . . . I'm not saying we shouldn't - it's just weird.

Maybe we need a new serious thread for this, but I'm actually rather disgusted by the sheer number of people I've seen celebrating OBL's death. Sure, he's lower than pond scum and he perpetrated one of the most vicious acts of terrorism ever inflicted on America, but I don't believe that we deserve to decide how and when anyone dies. Celebrating that really turns my stomach.

Woke up to 18 F this morning, a bit of a shock after our warm, dry fall so far.
Frost on the windows, but no snow yet. How's London (assuming you're still there). I just read about the incredible Leonardo exhibit that's opening at the National Gallery. Mary and I tried to convince ourselves we could find the money to go, but failed.
Life is good anyway.

Am still in London - getting colder but not at your level. Today's projected temp is in the high 50s and it's currently.. hm. 46 or so. I'm heading home (with the family I work for) over Christmas and New Year, so I'm looking forward to seeing more sun.
Ooooh, the Leonardo exhibit does look great! I'd seen signs for it, but didn't realise it had started already. Might have to sneak in an afternoon there.
If you do find the money/time to go please email me, or message me here or something... I'd love to see you both!

Well, we've been a little slow lately, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Maybe I'll make a back-dated NY's resolution to post at least twice a week . . . . .
