I haven't read Stephen King in quite a long time - sucks not having a regular supply anymore. Actually I haven't read ANYTHING new in quite awhile. I've heard we have a bookstore in town again, I'll have to check it out, but my fear is that it may be a "christian" bookstore that doesn't sell anything good. That's what we'd be most likely to get. :S

Hello Everyone, I am wondering if there is a way to get advice from Dave Barry. I'm sure I'm asking for trouble but I know he is getting old and figured I'd ask while he was still around. I am looking to find work as a columnist. Humor is my thing and who better to ask than that guy. Although I only heard of him recently, I find my writing to be similar to his, only funny.

Well, it's not the most tactful way to ask for help; start by implying that your solicited benefactor has one foot in the grave, and then go on to say you're funnier than he is anyhow . . . .

Hey, One Foot In The Grave was funny, but Waiting for God was funnier.

I was speaking his language.... Humor. Dave has all my respect. I wonder if he was in Las Vegas in 1964. I might have something to tell him. <--- See that... What I did? Just a joke. Maybe not a funny joke but the twist makes it a joke. I'm working for a couple forums as a moderator and am writing a weekly column for one of them. I should have started with a meet and greet instead of dissing on Dave. Hi everybody, I hope to see new life springing up in here. ;D
