I love my Classic Dave Barry Calendar. Today's entry is called Ask Mr. Language Person. It's awesome!
I especially like: "Q. Recently, did your research assistant Judi Smith make a grammatically interesting statement regarding where her friend, Vicki, parks at the Miami Herald? A. Yes. She said: 'She comes and parks in whoever's not here's space that day.' Q. Can that sentence be dagrammed? A. Not without powerful pharmaceuticals."
ps. I am on powerful pharaceuticals so I know that "whoever's not here's" is a pronoun phrase.
