Dear Mr. Barry, Since the first time I read one of your stories, sent to me by a very good friend, I was hooked on your style of humour and read it to several of my friends, all the time interrupting the reading with a lot of laughter (I'm really bad at telling jokes and reading funny things because I crack up laughing, ha!) Anyway, I became your fan and, being a translator, would like to ask for permission to translate some of your (more universal) stories into Portuguese and offer them to a Portuguese newspaper and see if they like them as much as I do. What are the procedures for that? Can I just try it out the first time and see what the reaction is, maybe by sending two translated stories initially and seeing how it goes? I will be waiting for a reply asap, since I am on vacation at the moment and have the time. If it goes well, I would gladly drop some of my usual work to continue translating your stories on a regular basis. Kind regards, Isabel
