ah yes, ...13th century 'furries'
The bored young women of Central Asia would stare over the town's battlements and sigh:
"I hope they plunder us next."
"I heard, when Samarkand was looted, they built a pyramid of skulls that was taller than ten houses."
"How many skulls is that? Like, a hundred?"
"Don't ask me! Who do I look like? Omar, the algebraist? Anyway, a pyramid of skulls would improve this dump!"
"Yeah, being repeatedly violated in multiple ways has its up side. If you're carried off, at least you'll see the world!"
"As if!"

i also realized over the weekend that i only linked this board on the main page of db.com; if you're on any of the other pages, the link goes to the old board. so i have to fix that. THEN we will prepare for the hordes. or not

I guess the plundering wasn't as lucrative as anticipated.
Hordes are overrated anyway.

Hey, I'm here now! I couldn't log on for the longest time because I couldn't remember my user name. So I re-registered. i'm having surgery tomorrow but will probably be on the road to recovery by the time anyone reads this. I think it would be a shame to let this die. Facebook is fun, but it's not the same as our happy little community. I think of you all as my family. I love reading your posts in FB, but you kind of get lost in the crowd. Please come back!

So very happy to see you. Hope the surgery goes well today, and I echo your plea to our family to get back and try to post a little more.
p.s. your old user name was msnomer2038, but I don't know your password
